Cops look for man who attacked Grosse Pointe Park woman
Police are continuing to seek tips Sunday in an incident that left a Grosse Pointe Park woman slashed.
The woman was attacked just after midnight Dec. 13 shortly after a man followed her in the area of Cadieux near Charlevoix and Mack.
The woman told police she had gotten out of a car at Harper and Cadieux when the man followed her and then slashed her with a knife. Police did not say what part of the body the woman was slashed on. She was treated and released the same day at St. John Hospital.
The man, said police, fled in the direction of Mack Avenue and into Detroit after he slashed the woman. Police say they have video of the incident.
Police describe the suspect as a male in his early 20s, 6’1, with a very slim build. They say he was wearing a white sweatshirt with the hood pulled up and blue shorts.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to the call the Grosse Pointe Park Police at 313-822-7400 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800 SPEAK-UP.
