A Detroit man has been arraigned on charges that he allegedly robbed a Dearborn jewelry store on Michigan Avenue earlier this month.

Dajuan Watson has been charged with armed robbery, larceny of $20,000 or more and felony firearm.

According to police, on Jan. 16 Watson walked into Steven Bernard Jewelers, pointed a handgun at a victim and demanded that he fill a bag with a large amount of jewelry. After the victim filled the bag with jewelry, Watson took the man’s personal property, police said.

The suspect fled before police arrived.

After an investigation, police identified Watson as the suspect and arrested him. Stolen property from the store and the victim were recovered, according to police.

Watson was arraigned Saturday before 34th District Court Judge Vesta Svenson. Bond was set at $25,000 cash.
