1 hurt in Redford Township shooting

Redford Township police are investigating a shooting that injured one person Thursday night.

Officers were called to the 10000 block of Crosley near Elmira about 6 p.m., police said in a statement. They learned a 19-year-old township resident had been injured during an assault.

The resident was taken to a medical facility for treatment, police said. The condition of the victim was not available Thursday night.

Police said the suspect “appears to be known to the victim,” but did not release a description or additional information about the incident.
