Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest in an armed bank robbery in Grosse Pointe Woods earlier this month.

According to officials, at 1:56 p.m. March 2 a suspect walked into the Comerica Bank at 20200 Mack and handed the teller a handwritten note demanding money. He implied he had a gun, police said.

The teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect left the bank and got into an older model light gray four-door Pontiac, officials said.

The suspect is described as standing about 6 feet tall with a medium build and a salt and pepper beard. He was wearing a dark knit hat, brown hooded sweatshirt, dark brown trousers and white tennis shoes, officials said.

Anyone with information is asked to make an anonymous call the Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP, visit www.1800speakup.org or text CSM and the tip to 274637.
