Trenton – It was raining marshmallows Friday morning at Elizabeth Park, setting off a scramble by excited youngsters to scoop up the sweet, gooey Easter treats.

The 32nd annual Wayne County Marshmallow Drop filled the gray sky above the park with thousands of the white puffs.

Once the marshmallows landed, the children, bundled up in coats, gloves and hats against the winter-like chill, scampered across the grass to stuff themselves with sugar.
