A man escaped with a broken arm Sunday after he walked into the path of an oncoming train, according to Taylor police.

“We had a man last night who appeared to be intoxicated walk right into the side of the train,” Chief Mary Sclabassi said Monday. “He sustained a broken arm only and was taken to a local hospital.”

The incident occurred around 10 p.m. and drew fire and EMS personnel to the scene, according to WJBK-TV (Channel 2).

Officials did not release the man’s identity.
