Ex- swim coach pleads guilty in sexting case
A former Allen Park High School swim coach pleaded guilty Monday in a sexting case involving a female swimmer.
Tyler Card, 26, of Southgate appeared before Third Circuit Court Judge David Groner. Card was charged with felony charges of accosting a child for immoral purposes and using the internet to communicate with another to commit a crime.
He is scheduled to be sentenced July 12.
Card sent sexually explicit text messages to a 15-year-old team member between February and March 2015.
According to the school district, the messages were sent via the app Snapchat and included requests for the girl to send nude photos.
Card’s attorney John Graziani was not immediately available for comment.
