Westland police seek suspects in ID theft

The Detroit News

Westland police are attempting to identify two suspects they say have charged more than $200 on a Westland resident’s debit card.

Police say the suspects, a man and a woman, were seen June 13 making multiple purchases using multiple credit and debit cards at a Walmart in Ypsilanti.

The first suspect is described as a black man, 25 to 35 years old, with a medium to heavy build, and facial hair on his chin. The second suspect is a black woman, 25 to 35 years old, with a heavy build, and long hair pulled back in a bun, according to police.

Both suspects were seen leaving the location in a silver 2004 to 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix with tinted rear windows, which has either black rims or missing hubcaps.

Anyone who knows the identity of either suspect is encouraged to call the Westland Police Department at (734) 722-9600, or Detective Humphrey at (734) 467-3179.
