Man charged in flight attendant’s alleged sex assault
A 44-year-old Westland man has been charged in the sexual assault of an 18-year-old flight attendant in a hotel room near Detroit Metro airport, the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office announced Tuesday.
Dwuan Parkman was charged with first- and third-degree criminal sexual assault and home invasion in the alleged incident. He was taken into custody Saturday after turning himself in and arraigned the same day in 34th District Court.
Parkman was given a $500,000 cash/surety bond.
Authorities say Parkman broke into the woman’s room and attacked her in her hotel room in the 9500 block of Middlebelt on June 20. The woman was reportedly followed back to the hotel after meeting with co-workers at a nearby restaurant.
The probable cause conference for Parkman is 9 a.m. July 13. His preliminary examination is scheduled for 10 a.m. July 20.
