Police: Man dies after being hit by train in Romulus

Authorities are investigating the death of a man who was struck by a train in Romulus on Monday night, police said.
The man appeared to have been working along the tracks near Inkster Road about 7:15 p.m. when a Norfolk Southern train fatally struck him, Romulus police said.
Investigators did not release his name or other details about the incident.
WXYZ-TV (Channel 7) reported the victim might have been a 57-year-old worker.
Norfolk Southern representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment Monday night.
