A life-sized figure of Donald Trump superimposed on Captain America was snatched from a World War II veteran’s yard this week in Livonia, authorities say.

Livonia police are seeking the public’s help in their investigation of the theft, which reportedly occurred Wednesday night on the 15400 block of Doris.

The red, white and blue display reads “Veterans for Trump” and is adorned with American flags.

Sgt. Ron Warra said the veteran spent 70 to 80 hours designing the Trump display and now is creating another one.

“He put a lot of time and effort into it,” Warra said.

Police have no leads in the theft.

“We aren’t sure if it was a Trump supporter or a Trump hater,” Warra said.

The incident comes just days before Trump is expected to visit Detroit in an attempt to appeal to black voters.

Trump will attend an 11 a.m. service at Great Faith Ministries International on Grand River, and then will sit for a one-on-one interview with the church’s pastor Bishop Wayne T. Jackson.

Anyone with information on the alleged theft is asked to call the Livonia Police Department at (734) 466-2470.
