Dearborn officials are set Thursday to detail what they described as “several significant arrests” tied to recent crimes.

A press conference is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. at the Dearborn Police Department, 16099 Michigan Ave.

Authorities are expected to discuss arrests made last weekend, according to a statement city officials released Wednesday.

They include the arrests of two men believed to be responsible for several home invasions throughout Metro Detroit; suspects in armed bank robberies in Dearborn and throughout southeast Michigan; and two people wanted for attempted murder in the shooting of three people at a popular Dearborn night club, the statement said.

Investigators also are set to show “rare recovered artifacts” in a bid to find their owners, the notice read.

“All of these incidents result in a decreased feeling of safety and security for our residents and visitors alike,” Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad said in the release. “We will continue to aggressively pursue justice against any and all persons involved in crimes that decrease the quality of life in our area.”
