Wayne County’s Department of Public Services will hold an auction Saturday to get rid of used equipment.

Officials said the auction is the first the county has had since October 2015.

Saturday’s auction, which begins at 10 a.m., will be held at Martin’s Towing at 17180 Dix-Toledo Road in Brownstown Township.

A preview will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday.

Among the items to be auctioned off: a rotary tractor, front-broom sweepers, dump trucks, snow plows and other vehicles.

To participate in the auction, bidders must pay a $200 cash deposit either the day before or the day of the auction.

Guests who do not make any bids will be refunded their deposit.

Auction proceeds will go to the various departments that originally paid for the equipment.

For information, call Martin’s Towing at (734) 283-8003 or log on to www.waynecounty.com.
