Police are looking to identify the person responsible for an armed robbery last weekend at Speedway gas station in Westland.

The suspect is described as a male in his late 20s, about 6 feet, 200 pounds. He was wearing jeans, a blue hooded sweatshirt with orange strings and a white “Detroit” baseball cap. He fled in a dark-colored car, possibly a 2009 Ford Fusion, Westland police said.

Cameras show the suspect entering the gas station, located in the 37000 block of Cherry Hill, and walking around before approaching the counter to make a purchase. During the transaction, the suspect shows a firearm and demands cash from the cashier.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Westland Police Department at (734) 722-9600, or Detective Ron Buckley, (734) 722-9600.
