Westland Police seek suspect in grocery store robbery

Westland Police are asking the public for help to find a man who last weekend assaulted and robbed a worker at a Kroger grocery store.

The incident happened at 10:50 p.m. Sunday at the grocery store at 200 S. Merriman near Cherry Hill Road, according to authorities.

Westland Police are looking for this man in connection with a robbery at a Kroger grocery store.

Police Wednesday released photos and video of the suspect during the robbery.

Officials said the man assaulted a female store employee and grabbed money from her cash registered before fleeing the business.

The cashier suffered a minor injury, police said.

Witnesses told investigators the suspect may have been in the store before the robbery.
