MSP: Motorcyclist ‘struck numerous times’ on I-75, dies
A 33-year-old man from Garden City is dead Thursday morning after becoming ‘separated’ from his motorcycle and being hit numerous times by passing vehicles on southbound Interstate 75, Michigan State Police said in a statement.

It was about 3 a.m. when state troopers were notified about the crash, which took place on southbound I-75 near King Road. Whether the motorcyclist was in a single-vehicle crash, or a crash with another vehicle, is not immediately known. What police do know is that the man “separated from the cycle,” in the middle lanes of the freeway when he was “struck numerous times” by other vehicles.
The fatal crash forced state police to close the freeway between Dix-Toledo and West Road for about four hours, which affected some commuters.
The motorcyclist’s next-of-kin have not yet been notified. In the early stages of the investigation, drivers involved in the crash “have stopped and are cooperating,” the statement said.
