$2,500 offered for tips in abuse of cat
The Michigan Humane Society and Crime Stoppers of Michigan are offering $2,500 for tips leading to whoever cut off parts of a young cat's ears.
Officials with the Humane Society said its Berman Center for Animal Care in Westland took in the cat, named Stanley, on Wednesday.
Along with the damage to its ears, a piece of the cat's tail is missing, they said.
The cat also has bruises on its body and was found with duct tape wrapped around its legs, according to the Michigan Humane Society.
Stanely was found in the Interstate 96 and Telegraph Road area in Redford.
Anyone with information about Stanley should call the Michigan Humane Society Cruelty Investigations unit at (313) 872-3401 or Crime Stoppers of Michigan at 1-800-SPEAKUP.
