Authorities say a couple from Taylor were killed in an apparent murder-suicide Friday night outside of a Woodhaven business.

The Woodhaven Police Department says deputies received a 911 call at 11:22 p.m. Friday from a female caller stating her friend and her friend's husband were arguing and he had a gun.

Police said the couple had vehicle trouble and pulled into the driveway of Buckeye Terminals, located at 20755 West Road. During that time, the 22-year-old female victim called her friends to assist and after they arrived, the caller said the married couple began fighting.

During the domestic dispute, the 23-year-old male shot the female and turned the gun on himself. Police said the caller witnessed the killings while on the phone with emergency dispatchers.

When officers arrived, they found the married couple lying in the driveway of the business with gunshot wounds to the head.

A 9mm handgun was recovered at the scene and both the female caller and male witness were unharmed.

Police said both bodies have been turned over to the Wayne County Medical Examiners and are withholding the identities until their families have been notified.
