Inkster man charged with killing girlfriend
A 35-year-old Inkster man was charged Friday with the murder of his girlfriend.

Jerome Duckwyler was charged with first-degree murder and felony firearms in connection with the murder of Michelle Nicole Briscoe, 36. Her lifeless body was found early Thursday in a residence on Cherry Valley Drive in Inkster.
According to Michigan State Police, around 6:15 a.m. Friday, Inkster police were called to the Cherry Valley Drive apartment complex. Police found the woman's body with apparent gunshot wounds in the head and shoulder areas.
After police contacted the neighbors who called 911, police learned the neighbors heard loud noises and then the suspect brought over is 4-year-old son and asked them to take care of him "because he and his girlfriend were fighting," Michigan State Police Lt. Mike Shaw said in a statement Monday. Duckwyler also asked the neighbors to call 911.
Duckwyler surrendered himself to Detroit officers at the 9th District, Shaw said.
