Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a $2,500 reward for tips in a double homicide reported last week in Inkster.

Michigan State Police Second District Special Investigation Section officers were called to a home to the 3700 block of Fox Street about 2:20 p.m. Thursday on a report two adults had been shot inside, authorities said in a statement.

At the scene, detectives found a man and woman dead in the living room from apparent gunshot wounds, according to the release.

Investigators have identified the pair as Deon Booker, 43, and Ebony Roberson, 38.

Their 15-year-old son was inside the residence at the time of the shooting but unaware his parents had been killed, state police reported.

Officials do not believe the incident was random and are following leads.
