Police are investigating an early Monday morning single vehicle crash that killed a male 17-year-old Dearborn resident.

The crash happened at about 1 a.m. in the area of Greenfield and Hubbard, police said.

Officers arrived at the scene of the collision and found a wrecked 2005 Nissan Maxima.

Police said it appears the vehicle left the roadway, struck a support cable for traffic signals and crashed into a tree before resting in the roadway's median.

The teen was the vehicle's only occupant, according to authorities.

It doesn't appear alcohol was factor in the crash, police said.

Anyone with information about the crash should call the Dearborn Police Department's Accident Investigation Bureau at (313) 943-2246.
