Tailor charged with molesting Livonia store customers
A 57-year-old Dearborn man was arraigned Thursday on numerous criminal sexual conduct charges for allegedly inappropriately touching several men who came to his shop to be fitted for work uniforms.
Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy charged Majed (Mark) Mohamad Wazni with seven counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct in incidents that allegedly occurred from March 30 to April 9. The complaints involved men between 33 and 69 years old, prosecutors said.
Wazni allegedly inappropriately touched the men while they were being fitted for work uniforms at the store in the 20200 block of Middlebelt in Livonia.
In another case, Wazni is accused of inappropriately touching a man Feb. 12 while the man was being fitted for a work uniform. In that case, Wazni was charged with fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Wazni was arraigned before 16th District Court Magistrate Barbara J. Scherr. He was given a $5,000/10 percent bond, which he posted, in the seven new misdemeanor cases. Wazni’s probable cause conference is scheduled for 9 a.m. May 31 before Judge Sean Kavanagh of 16th District Court.
