Two people have been taken into custody after a shooting injured a 28-year-old man Thursday morning in Harper Woods.

Officers were dispatched at 10:40 a.m. on a report of shots fired at an apartment building on the 19700 block of Eastland Village Drive, near Beaconsfield Street and Vernier Road.

Upon arrival, officers found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to the hospital intemporary serious condition.

Detectives obtained a search warrant for a residence on Beaconsfield near East Warren in Detroit, two hours after the shooting, officials said in a statement.

Harper Woods detectives, assisted by the Eastern Wayne Special Response Team, entered the home and took two adults into custody without incident. Detectives recovered several firearms inside of the residence.

The two suspects, a man and woman, have been transported to the Harper Woods Department of Public Safety and are being held without bond on multiple felonies.
