Northville official to fill Wayne County judgeship
The vice chairwoman of the Northville Township Zoning Board of Appeals was named Thursday to a Wayne County Circuit Court judgeship.
Gov. Rick Snyder announced the appointment of Carla Testani fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Judge Megan Brennan.
“Carla has had a distinguished legal career, during which she has been actively involved in service to the profession and to her community,” Snyder said in a statement. “I am confident she will be an asset to the Wayne County bench.”
Testani has been in private practice since 1999 and was most recently a member of Northville-based Fausone Bohn LLP, where she specialized in family law.
She belongs to the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, the Federalist Society and the Wayne County Family Law Bar Association, of which she was president from 2014-16.
A 1995 graduate of the University of Michigan, Testani received her law degree from Wayne State University in 1998.
Testani will have to seek election in November 2020 for the remainder of the term.
