Reward offered for tips to find missing Westland man
Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering up to $1,000 for tips to find a Westland man missing nearly a month.
Shortly after talking with family about 6 p.m. May 6, James Miller left their home on the 32800 block of Mecosta Court on a dark gray Schwinn mountain bike, investigators said in a statement.
“His brother assumed he was making a quick trip to a store up the road, but when he was unable to reach him, he went out and scoured the area to see if he saw James anywhere,” the release read. “No one has seen or heard from James since.”
Miller, who graduated from Franklin High School in Livonia, worked for Ray Reiss Roofing Co. in Warren and has a 7-year old daughter, authorities said.
Sometimes known as “Jaymo,” he was last seen wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt, green T-shirt spotted in blue paint and tan or khaki pants. Miller also has multiple tattoos, include “ABBEY” on his knuckles.
To spur tips in the case, Crime Stoppers scheduled a press conference Tuesday.
If a tip leading to his recovery is received by midnight, the group plans to add $1,000 to the reward.
