Driver shot in Inkster after selling marijuana
Inkster — A man was shot early Tuesday while delivering marijuana on the south side of Inkster, authorities said.
At around 12:10 a.m., Inkster police were dispatched to Middlebelt Road and Annapolis Avenue for a man who had been shot inside his vehicle, Michigan State Police tweeted Tuesday.
MSP's Special Investigations detectives said the victim and his girlfriend were attempting to sell medical marijuana to two other men.
The vehicle pulled up to an abandoned building on 4105 Hickory Road to meet to the two male suspects and after taking the marijuana, one of the males shot the seller.
The male victim drove away from the scene and called 911. He is being treated for injuries at a Dearborn hospital. Police said the female passenger was not injured.
Police are investigation the incident and have no further information on the suspects or if the victim will face charges.
