Suspect arrested after shooting at Dearborn cop

A Dearborn police officer was shot at while responding to a carjacking early Wednesday morning and the suspect who allegedly shot at the officer and stole the car was arrested, police said.
Around 2:40 a.m. police responded to the area of Donald and Ternes, which is north of Ford Road and east of Greenfield, for a reported carjacking.
When the officer arrived and saw the stolen vehicle, the suspect fired shots. The officer returned fire, but no one was hit in the shootout.
A time later, after an assist from the Michigan State Police, Dearborn police arrested the suspect and recovered the stolen vehicle.
