Dearborn police Chief Ronald Haddad said Kimani Waiters, 22, of Highland Park, and Donte Davis, 26, and Marquette Jones, 25, both of Detroit, have been charged with carjacking and armed robbery.

The men allegedly carjacked a vehicle at Donald Street and Ternes from a 32-year-old Dearborn resident. When police located the stolen vehicle, a shootout followed, police said. No one was hit.

Waiters allegedly drove the vehicle toward an officer and fired three or four shots through the windshield. The officer returned one shot. Waiters fled, the vehicle collided with another Dearborn police cruiser. Dearborn officers arrested Waiters.
