Firefighters from two communities worked into Friday morning battling a blaze at a building in Wyandotte.

The fire spread through the structure on Fort Street between Northline and Goddard before 8 p.m. Crews remained at the scene past midnight Friday.

There was no immediate word of injuries.

The blaze slowed traffic, WWJ reported. Meanwhile, the situation prompted Wyandotte Municipal Services to cut power on Fort and 23rd between Northline and Goddard, the company tweeted. 

"God Bless Our Responders!" WMS wrote.
