Ground transportation changes coming to Detroit Metro
Before heading for your next flight at Detroit Metropolitan Airport, be aware of ground transportation changes and new construction beginning Friday.
SMART and AirRide customers going to and from the McNamara Terminal will be dropped off and picked up on the departures level (ticketing level) of the terminal. SMART and AirRide buses will stop on the north end near Door No. 1.
According to Detroit Metropolitan Airport officials, the changes are expected to reduce traffic in the Ground Transportation Center.
Construction will begin Friday on a section of the McNamara Terminal Ground Transportation Center to repair expansion joints. It is expected to be completed by July 22.
Shuttles and charter buses will be temporarily relocated to the domestic arrivals roadway on Level 1. Follow the green signs and floor arrows to Level 1.
