A boil water advisory in Gibraltar has been lifted, city officials said Thursday.

The city issued the advisory Monday because of a water main break on West Jefferson.

Officials said the main was repaired and water pressure restored to full capacity Monday night.

Results of testing on samples of the city's water show it is safe to consume without boiling it first, the city said Thursday.

Any resident with questions about the water should call the city's Department of Public Works (734) 676-3900.
