Harper Woods cops seek robbery suspects armed with shotgun

Harper Woods police are searching for two men who robbed a Citgo gas station on Harper Avenue Monday morning.

Harper Woods police are looking for two armed men who robbed a gas station Monday morning, officials said.

The robbery happened at about 6:10 a.m. Monday at the Citgo gas station on Harper near Moross Road and Interstate 94, according to authorities.

Police said two suspects wearing masks and gloves and armed with a shotgun and a handgun entered the business. The shotgun had a large capacity barrel magazine and the handgun had a large capacity extended magazine, officials said.

The suspects demanded cash and the store's clerk complied, police said. The suspects then fled the scene and were last seen running toward Alstead Street in the city of Detroit, they said.

Police released a photo of the suspects taken by the gas station's surveillance system.
