Suspect charged in Northville bank robbery

A 47-year-old Westland man has been arrested in connection with a bank robbery last Thursday in Northville Township, officials said.

Brian Allen Littlejohn was arrested early Wednesday morning in Detroit, police said. 

He was formally charged with bank robbery, armed robbery and felonious assault. A judge ordered Littlejohn be held at the Wayne County Jail on a $5 million cash bond.

Police said Littlejohn is accused of robbing the Chase Bank, located at 42901 Seven Mile Rd. in Northville Township, on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018.

Officials said the suspect in the robbery walked up to a teller and told her to "open your drawer, this is a robbery." He also implied he had a weapon, according to authorities.

The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot west on Seven Mile, police said.
