2nd arrest made in beating of Dearborn doc
Dearborn police have arrested a woman they say was an accomplice in the Oct. 10 beating of a doctor at his practice at Grindley Park.
Emanuel Vaughn, 33, of Detroit was quickly arrested following the incident.
The doctor, 75, did not come home, prompting his wife to call police for a welfare check, said Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad. When they arrived, police found the psychologist badly beaten, in and out of consciousness with stab wounds in both legs.
Police now believe Vaughn had an accomplice, whom they have identified as Jasmine Moore, 28 of Detroit. Haddad said she was a patient of the doctor.
Vaughn and Moore both face charges of assault with intent to murder, armed robbery causing serious injury, assault with intent to commit great bodily harm less than murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
