Man, woman injured in drive-by shooting on Detroit's west side

Detroit — Police are investigating an early Friday morning drive-by shooting on the city's west side that has left a man in critical condition, officials said.
The shooting also left a woman in temporary serious condition, they said.
Latrice Crawford, a Detroit police spokeswoman, said the incident happened at about 12:14 a.m. in the 17000 block of Fenkell near the Southfield Freeway.
The victims, both 25, were in front of a building talking when they were hit by gunfire, according to police. The man was standing and the woman was sitting in a vehicle.
A victim told police the shooter was in a silver or gold vehicle that pulled up to them and started shooting.
