Romulus — A 39-year-old Detroit man who allegedly posed as a worker for a company assisting senior citizens has been charged with allegedly assaulting one of the seniors, a 67-year-old Romulus woman.

The alleged assault took place at 12:30 p.m. June 30, at an apartment on the 11000 block of Wayne Road in Romulus, a statement from the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office said. That's right at Goddard.

Authorities say Christopher Moore appeared at the victim's door and represented himself as a worker. Police say he sexually assaulted the victim once inside.

Moore is charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct, a possible 15-year felony. His arraignment is expected for Wednesday afternoon at Romulus' 34th District Court.
