Dearborn — Police are asking the public for help to identify a man and woman in connection with the armed robbery Thursday, officials said.

Officers were called just after midnight Thursday to the 7700 block of Indiana near Wyoming and Tireman, according to authorities.

The victim told officers he had arrived home and as he walked from his car to the front door of his house, a man with a gun approached him. The man demanded the victim give him his wallet and other belongings, police said. 

As the man fled to a sport utility vehicle, he fired a single shot in the air, officials said. No injuries were reported.

A short time later, the victim's credit cards were used at a Metro Detroit gas station, authorities said. Investigators obtained surveillance video from the gas station and it showed a woman using the cards and then getting into a dark-colored SUV.
