Michigan State Police seek tips on fatal Inkster shooting

Inkster — Michigan State Police are investigating an early Tuesday morning shooting in Inkster that killed a man.

Officials said troopers were called at about 1:05 a.m. to the 26000 block of Colgate near Inkster Road and Annapolis to respond to a report of a shooting.

According to a preliminary investigation, a lone, unknown shooter fired multiple shots into a home and then fled. Some of the rounds struck at 40-year-old male who was inside the house.

The victim was taken to a hospital where he died, authorities said.
