A 63-year-old man from Van Buren Township has been charged with shooting his wife to death in their home, the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office said Friday.

Terrance Oneal faces second-degree murder and felony firearm charges in the slaying of 62-year-old Belinda Oneal, the prosecutor's office said.

The incident occurred at 1 a.m. Tuesday at the couple's home in the 7000 block of Fay Drive. Prosecutors allege Terrance Oneal had an argument with his wife and shot her.

Shortly after, he left in his car, prosecutors allege.

At 1:30 a.m., Van Buren Township Police investigated the scene and found Belinda Oneal's body on the second floor of the home.

By 3 a.m., officers had pulled over Terrance Oneal on Interstate 94 in Berrien County and arrested him. Van Buren Township police transported Oneal back to Van Buren Township.

He's expected to be video arraigned Saturday in 34th District Court in Romulus.
