Police: Body found on MSU campus

The Detroit News

Michigan State University police are investigating the death of a person whose body was found early Wednesday on campus.

The body was discovered about 11:40 a.m. in a heavily wooded area east of the Baker Woodlot on the East Lansing school’s south side, MSU police said in a statement.

Positive identification as well as cause and manner of death were pending. Other details were not released Wednesday night.

“At this point in the investigation, we do not suspect foul play and do not believe there is any threat to the campus community,” MSU police said. “More information will be released as it becomes available.”
