Cops: Office worker posed as dentist, pulled teeth

New York – — A New York office worker has been arrested on charges she posed as a dentist since at least December 2012 and even pulled patients’ teeth.

Valbona Yzeiraj was arrested Thursday on charges of assault, unauthorized practice of a profession and reckless endangerment.

Police say records show at least four people have complained. Authorities say the 45-year-old White Plains woman did injections in people’s mouths and on several occasions pulled people’s teeth.

They say she was an office worker at Ultimate Dental Care of Riverdale but wasn’t a New York licensed dentist. A dentist at that office didn’t immediately return a message seeking comment.

It wasn’t immediately clear whether she had a lawyer who could comment on the charges.
