2 children found dead in Northern California storage unit
Redding, Calif. — Northern California homicides detectives are investigating after two children were found dead inside a storage unit in Redding.
A third child was found severely abused and is undergoing surgery. The child’s condition was not immediately available.
The three children are siblings.
KSBW-TV reports Tuesday that Plumas County officials have arrested a 17-year-old boy and 39-year-old Tami Joy Huntsman of Quincy, California, on suspicion of felony child abuse, torture and mayhem after the children, ages 3 and 5, were found. The relationships between the children and the suspects were not known.
The identities of the children were not released.
Autopsies are pending.
Redding is about 300 miles north of San Francisco.
