Shooting kills Colo. sheriff’s deputy, wounds 2 others

Bailey, Colo. — Authorities say a shooting has killed a sheriff’s deputy and a suspect in a Colorado mountain community and left two other deputies wounded.

Jacki Kelley, spokeswoman of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, says the shooting happened Wednesday in the town of Bailey, about 45 miles southwest of Denver.

Neither the circumstances of the violence nor the conditions of the wounded deputies were immediately clear.
