Republican presidential hopeful Ben Carson plans to campaign next week in Michigan
Republican presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson is returning to Michigan next week to campaign in Jackson and Spring Arbor, his campaign said Friday.
After a day of stumping in Ohio, Carson will address a Wednesday afternoon rally at Spring Arbor University, a Free Methodist Church college in Spring Arbor.
Earlier that day, Carson will speak at a Jackson County Republican Party event “under the oaks” in Jackson, where Republicans claim their party began in 1854.
Carson, the retired pediatric neurosurgeon and Detroit native, had his last public speaking engagement in Michigan in June at the commencement ceremony for Benjamin Carson High School of Science and Medicine's 2015 graduating class.
Carson also kicked off his campaign for the Republican nomination for president in Detroit on May 4.
