Trump's attacks on 'King of the U.P.' falling flat for many in Michigan GOP

Lansing — A prominent Republican Michigan Senate leader has come under fire from former President Donald Trump for not finding fraud in the 2020 election, but accusations of political calculation don't make sense, a fellow GOP lawmaker says.

What would Sen. Ed McBroom — a GOP colleague he's known for a decade whose preferred beverage at evening outings is chocolate milk — have to gain by concealing fraud in the 2020 election, asked state Rep. Beau LaFave, a conservative Republican from the Upper Peninsula.
