Afghans with ties to MSU wait in limbo in Albania, fearful of being forgotten

Washington — Three months after their harrowing escape from Afghanistan, nearly 70 Afghan refugees with ties to Michigan State University are living in limbo in Albania, with no word on when they may resettle in the United States as they had hoped.

The Biden administration hasn't decided what to do with them, said U.S. Rep. Elissa Slotkin, a Democrat and Michigan congresswoman from Holly who helped facilitate their evacuation from Kabul among a group of 113.
