Crash clears on I-75 in Detroit
Detroit — Northbound Interstate 75 reopened just before 5:30 p.m. Sunday after closing for more than two hours following a crash that blocked all traffic lanes, state road officials say.
A two-vehicle incident occurred just before 3 p.m. at Dearborn Street, north of Rouge River Bridge, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation website. An update just before 5:30 p.m. said the roadway has cleared.
Michigan State Police said details surrounding the backup would be released later Sunday.
In the meantime, the northbound I-75 entrance ramp from Schaefer is shut down following a two-vehicle crash. In addition, a traffic incident on eastbound I-94 after Vernier involving two vehicles that has the left lane and center lane blocked, MDOT said.
