Readers, on plan to split DPS in two
The Snyder agenda
Re: Ingrid Jacques’ April 21 column, “Snyder’s plan would split Detroit schools in two”: As it was assumed by many, Gov. Rick Snyder’s plan is to turn Detroit Public Schools into charters and continue making us homeowners pay down the debt that his EMs continue to rack up. Meanwhile, they get bonuses for racking up more debt. Gotta love Michigan.

This is a dismantling of Detroit Public Schools. The Coalition for the Future of Detroit Schoolchildren was the mere illusion of a democratic process. It is clear that the primary driver here is Paul Pastorek, who has been advising the governor since last June on the nickel of the Broad Foundation.
