Pit bulls pose more risk

Re: the Dec. 24 op-ed in The Detroit News, “Pit bull a dog like any other”: Pit bulls’ normal disposition is probably no different than other breeds, but to argue that they are not more dangerous is ridiculous. When other breeds attack, they bite. When pit bulls attack they grapple and tear. When was the last time you heard of a German shepherd or a collie mauling someone to death? The stats speak for themselves.
