Opinion: Parents can reverse Whitmer's veto of needed learning flexibility

Students shouldn’t be punished for struggling to learn. And parents shouldn’t be overwhelmed with expenses to help them.

But when Gov. Gretchen Whitmer vetoed the Student Opportunity Scholarships Act, that’s exactly what she did to my daughter, Katie, and to many Michigan families who cannot afford materials and services to help their students succeed.
